Client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant with 7 or more years of accounting experience to join our finance team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex financial tasks independently. This role requires a proactive professional capable of ensuring accuracy and compliance while contributing to the company’s financial strategy.
In this role you will prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, reports, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies as well as manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close processes.
The Senior Accountant will assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities as well as monitor and analyze accounting data, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues promptly and coordinate and support external audits and tax filings.
The Senior Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making, ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements as well as maintain accurate fixed asset and inventory records and mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of professional accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
