Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, preparing monthly financial reports, assisting with audits and tax compliance, and supporting the company’s budgeting and forecasting processes. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in streamlining financial operations and driving continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and support schedules for monthly and year-end close processes.
Produce timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Manage general ledger activity, ensuring proper classification and completeness of transactions.
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate historical data and trend analysis.
Assist with external audits by preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation.
Reconcile intercompany transactions and assist with consolidations (if applicable).
Analyze financial results and provide variance explanations to management.
Review and mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on technical accounting matters.
Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred.

4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or a corporate environment.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills with the ability to interact across departments.
