Senior Accountant
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for a wide range of accounting duties, including month-end close processes, general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, bank reconciliations, member account reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Manage and execute month-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
-Perform general ledger and member account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies
-Prepare and post journal entries accurately and efficiently
-Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor bank transactions, including fees, incoming cash, and ADP payments
-Support accounts payable functions, including voucher processing and recurring vouchers
-Assist with accounts receivable tasks, including cash receipts and collections
-Match credit card statements to Concur expense reports and process credit card transactions
-Contribute to booking and backlog reporting and purchase clearing
-Assist with preparation and submission of auditor requests
-Ensure Concur expense reports are properly processed
-Support vendor returns and manage purchase clearing activities
-Maintain an organized workflow to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
-Strong understanding of GAAP and standard accounting practices
-Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (experience with Sage 500 is a plus)
-Advanced Excel skills preferred
-Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
-Ability to work well under pressure and adapt quickly to new processes
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively
