About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant who is fluent in both English and Chinese to join our client's finance team. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise and a solid understanding of manufacturing operations, cost accounting, and financial reporting. You will play a key role in supporting month-end close, analyzing financial performance, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statements
Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Manage cost accounting activities including inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis
Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, work-in-process, and overhead allocations
Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing financial insights and variance explanations
Liaise between U.S. and Chinese teams to facilitate clear communication of financial data and business performance
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal controls
Assist with audits, tax filings, and external reporting requirements
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred)
Bilingual in English and Chinese (Mandarin) – written and verbal communication required
5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory control, and ERP systems
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, fast-paced environment
