We are seeking a dependable and motivated Seed Processing Associate for a temporary contract opportunity in Seward, NE. This hands-on production and operations role supports soybean harvest and seed-processing activities for a breeding program. This is not a laboratory position and includes both indoor and outdoor work alongside a team of experienced technicians.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with harvest preparation and soybean hand harvesting.
- Operate or support machine and single-head threshing activities.
- Process, organize, and track soybean seed samples and inventory.
- Collect and enter harvest, seed inventory, and related data using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Follow safety procedures, work instructions, and team processes accurately.
- Work in varying outdoor conditions, including sun, heat, dust, and insects.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $20 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Job type: Temporary contract.
- Location: Seward, NE.
- Support soybean harvest preparation, hand harvesting, and seed-processing activities.
- Assist with threshing operations and seed organization.
- Maintain accurate seed inventory records and data entry.
- Work safely and efficiently as part of a production team.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience preferred for this opportunity.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in changing environmental conditions.
- Able to follow instructions, stay organized, and contribute to a team-oriented work environment.
- Must be able to complete required drug screening and additional medical exams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or coursework in agronomy, horticulture, biology, crop science, agriculture, or seed production.
- Previous experience in harvest support, seed processing, farming, greenhouse, field research, or production operations.
- Strong attention to detail when handling samples, inventory, and data entry.
