Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Seed Processing Associate for a temporary contract opportunity in Seward, NE. This hands-on role supports soybean breeding, harvest preparation, seed processing, inventory tracking, and data entry activities in a team-based production and operations environment.

You will work alongside experienced technicians and report to a supportive supervisor or manager who provides direction, training, and clear expectations. Key Responsibilities

- Assist with harvest preparation and soybean hand harvesting activities.
- Operate or support machine and single-head threshing processes.
- Process, organize, and track soybean seed inventory accurately.
- Collect and enter harvest, seed inventory, and related data using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Follow safety procedures, written instructions, and team workflows in indoor and outdoor work settings.
- Work in varying outdoor conditions, including sun, heat, dust, and insects.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $19 to $20 per hour, with assignment details listing $20 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Job type: Temporary contract.
- Location: Seward, NE.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support soybean harvest preparation and hand harvesting.
- Assist with threshing, seed processing, and seed organization.
- Perform seed inventory tracking and accurate data entry.
- Use Microsoft Word and Excel to record harvest and inventory information.

- 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience preferred for this production and operations role.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in changing conditions.
- Able to follow instructions, work safely, and contribute effectively as part of a team.
- Must be able to complete required drug screening and additional medical exams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Agronomy, horticulture, biology, crop, seed processing, agriculture, or related field experience.
- Prior experience with harvest activities, seed inventory, production operations, or agricultural field work.
- Strong attention to detail when handling seed samples, inventory records, and data entry tasks.
