Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Securities Operations Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Saint Louis, MO. This role supports securities processing operations, including daily account setup, cash and position reconciliation, operational research, and issue resolution within a financial services environment.

The Securities Operations Specialist will work in a supportive team environment with manager guidance, defined procedures, and opportunities to contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of critical operations functions.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working with tight timelines, has strong Excel skills, understands securities operations, and takes pride in accuracy, follow-through, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily securities operations tasks, including account setup, cash reconciliation, and position reconciliation between systems.
- Review and resolve basic operational issues related to low-risk tasks, procedures, and account activity.
- Gather, review, and analyze data to support issue resolution and operational decision-making.
- Collaborate with peers, managers, internal teams, and external customers to resolve questions and meet department goals.
- Monitor daily account setup and reconciliation work to support team effectiveness and timely completion.
- Perform additional operational support tasks as needed within the securities operations team.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay Rate: $37.33 per hour.
- Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.
- Anticipated Duration: 6-month contract with potential extension based on performance.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, start time is 6:30 AM.
- Worksite Location: 2801 Market St, St. Louis, MO 63103.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Process daily cash and position reconciliation between systems.
- Support account setup and securities operations processing activities.
- Research, analyze, and help resolve operational issues within defined procedures.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to meet daily production and accuracy goals.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in securities operations, financial services operations, reconciliation, or a similar accounting or finance support role.
- Knowledge and understanding of the securities industry and securities processing or operations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to research issues, evaluate data, and support accurate resolution.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel for operational tracking, reconciliation, and analysis.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially when working with financial data and reconciliations.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a production-oriented operations environment.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and partnership skills.
- Ability to follow direction from management while exercising sound judgment within defined parameters.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with cash reconciliation, position reconciliation, account setup, or securities processing platforms.
- Experience working in a team-based financial operations environment with daily deadlines and quality standards.
- Familiarity with operational risk controls, procedures, and issue escalation processes.
