Position Overview: Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Seasonal Tax Preparer to join our team on a temporary, full-time basis for the 2025 tax season. In this role, you will play a crucial part in preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing support to our clients during this peak period.
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Preparation and Compliance:
? Prepare individual, business, and trust tax returns in accordance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
? Review and verify the accuracy of all tax documents prior to submission.
? Assist clients in gathering and organizing financial information for tax-related purposes.
Client Communication:
? Engage with clients to address any questions or concerns regarding their tax returns.
? Provide guidance on fundamental tax issues, ensuring clients understand their tax liabilities and potential refunds.
Tax Law Updates:
? Stay informed about relevant changes in tax laws and regulations.
? Ensure that all tax filings adhere to the latest IRS and state tax codes.
Support and Collaboration:
? Collaborate with our internal wealth management team to align tax strategies with overall financial goals.
? Work closely with team members to deliver seamless and efficient service to clients.
Qualifications:
? Experience as a tax preparer with 2+ years of experience in tax return preparation.
? Proficiency in tax software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, TurboTax, or similar).
? Familiarity with current IRS regulations and tax filing procedures.
? Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
? Excellent communication and client service skills.
? Ability to work efficiently & effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
