A growing food manufacturing operation in Hanford, CA is seeking an experienced Sanitation Supervisor - 3rd Shift to lead overnight sanitation activities and ensure production areas, equipment, and processing systems are clean, compliant, and ready for startup. Key Responsibilities

- Lead all 3rd shift sanitation operations, including planning, scheduling, assigning, and monitoring cleaning and sanitizing activities.
- Supervise and train sanitation team members to ensure compliance with GMPs, SSOPs, HACCP, FSMA, FSSC 22000, OSHA, LOTO, and company safety standards.
- Partner with Production, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance to ensure equipment, packaging lines, processing systems, and facility areas are properly cleaned and ready for startup.
- Verify sanitation effectiveness through inspections, ATP testing, environmental monitoring, pre-operational checks, sanitation logs, and chemical usage documentation.
- Investigate sanitation deviations, equipment concerns, near misses, and safety incidents, then implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain sanitation supplies, chemicals, tools, procedures, work instructions, and cleaning schedules while identifying opportunities for cost control and process improvement.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $75,000 to $85,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Lead overnight sanitation activities for a food manufacturing facility.
- Manage sanitation schedules, team assignments, inspections, documentation, and pre-operational readiness.
- Support food safety, regulatory compliance, sanitation verification, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train, coach, and develop sanitation employees while promoting safety, accountability, and teamwork.

- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, Environmental Health, or a related field, or a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing sanitation.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant sanitation, production, operations, or food manufacturing leadership experience preferred for success in this role.
- Strong knowledge of GMPs, SSOPs, HACCP, FSMA, FSSC 22000, sanitation chemicals, environmental monitoring, and sanitation validation or verification.
- Experience supervising sanitation teams in a food production or food processing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to enforce OSHA, chemical safety, PPE, and LOTO procedures in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, organization, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production setting with excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to food safety.

Preferred Qualifications

- HACCP certification preferred.
- PCQI certification preferred.
- Experience supporting internal audits, regulatory inspections, customer audits, or third-party food safety certification audits.
- Experience developing or updating sanitation procedures, work instructions, cleaning schedules, and corrective action plans.
