Job Title: Sanitation Supervisor
Recommendation: Sanitation Supervisor - 1st Shift
Pay: $25 - $30
Schedule: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Summary:
Driven Sanitation and CIP Process Manager will be responsible for all areas of plant sanitation. Efficiency of this department is imperative for safe and clean production of products within the plant. The Sanitation Manager will work closely with Plant Manager and Quality and Production departments in the daily coordination of proper sanitation and CIP schedules and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Oversees daily operation of sanitation and janitorial department in cleaning and sanitizing all food production equipment and production facilities per sanitation schedules.
• Ensure sanitation is maintained to promote overall facility food safety and quality standards. Assures quality and safety while achieving established goals and objectives.
• Manages sanitation and janitorial department employees and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of each department.
• Ensures all required sanitation and production reporting is timely and accurate.
• Responsible for ensuring sanitation and janitorial teams follow all company policies, programs, and procedures such as GMPs, SOPs and SSOPs.
• Operate the CIP (clean-in-place) system to clean and sanitize equipment, tanks, and pipelines including disassembling and assembling of equipment to perform CIP operation.
• Provide expertise and leadership in Sanitation Programs. Provide guidance on appropriate staffing levels and maximize and optimize sanitation labor utilization.
• Responsible for preparing and maintaining all documentation as it pertains to sanitation, CIP and related activities including Master Sanitation schedules.
• Complete record keeping items such as, but not limited to, identifying cleaning cycle times on charts, measuring cleaning concentration, examining flow rates, assessing heat up temperature and sanitizing by chemical strengths.
• Responsible for using approved chemicals to clean and sanitize all components of food production and processing equipment, and the production rooms, to ensure food safety and quality.
• Monitor CIP filtration system, including changing of filters and assist with wastewater compliance reporting.
• Ensure all CIP/cleaning/sanitation records are filled-out completely and accurately, including corrective actions and follow-up.
Qualifications/Education/Experience:
• Work experience in sanitation in food and beverage required.
• Managerial experience with a demonstrated ability and desire to work with cross functional teams required.
• HACCP certified preferred.
• GFSI Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes and regulations applicable to the quality and safety of food
Language Skills:
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) Preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information, in one-on-one and small group situations, to other employees of the organization.
