Customer Account Specialist – Manufacturing
A growing global manufacturer is seeking an experienced Customer Account Specialist to manage customer relationships, support technical order activity, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of customized product solutions. This role supports complex product configurations and requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and experience within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, providing exceptional service throughout the order lifecycle
Prepare accurate quotes, pricing, lead times, and product information
Enter and manage orders, returns, and required documentation within the ERP system
Verify Bills of Materials (BOMs) and product specifications prior to production
Coordinate cross-functionally with production, purchasing, planning, and sales teams
Track order status and proactively communicate updates or potential delays
Ensure accuracy of pricing and margins; collaborate with sales leadership as needed
Identify opportunities to recommend additional or alternative product solutions
Maintain account documentation and compliance records
Support forecasting, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
Candidate Profile:
5+ years of recent customer account management or customer service experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience supporting technical product lines or assemblies; ability to read and interpret product specifications and BOMs
Familiarity with regulated industries such as medical manufacturing is a plus
Strong ERP skills; experience with Syteline preferred
Advanced Excel proficiency and comfort working with numbers
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and strong follow-through
Ability to manage multiple customer accounts simultaneously and work independently
