Position: Sales Manager
Location: Durham, NC 27703
Status: Full-time, regular position
Base salary: $65,000-$75,000/yr.
*Compensation also includes commission structure based on new sales.
OVERVIEW:
The Sales Manager will develop new markets and attract new customers to expand overall product footprint and to increase profit and revenues for a private, non-profit organization located in Durham, NC.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Responsible for planning and executing the long-range goals of the sales department.
· Build and promote strong, solid relationships with customers and potential customers by partnering with them and understanding their business needs.
· Prepare, validate, and follow up on quotations/proposals for business opportunities.
· Develop pricing structures that will align with the budget and financial goals.
· Work cooperatively and professionally with internal teams, clients, and business contacts while maintaining positive public relations with customers and professional contacts.
· Advise executive team on new product introduction activities and results.
· Develop strategic plans and sales strategies, identify new markets, and attract new customers to expand product reach and profitability.
· Regular contact and follow-up with ongoing and prospective customers to assess needs as well as cultivate additional opportunities.
Review past orders and current accounts to generate ideas on expanding services to customers.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date files, documentation, records, and reports. Regularly reporting sales activities, outcomes to management and administration.
· Understand, interpret, follow, and ensure adherence to policy and procedures.
· Present a consistently positive disposition in supporting, sharing, and carrying out leadership and executive team decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· 5 years of previous sales experience required.
· Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related fields (i.e., accounting, economics, or business) preferred, but not required.
· Knowledge of negotiating, selling techniques.
· Detailed-oriented, strong organizational skills, with proficiency in MS Office Suite & CRM (Salesforce, etc.)
