We are hiring a "Safety Manager" who manages the safety program for a construction company with multiple locations. Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and company policy.
WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, 2 days off.
SALARY: $45K - $48K Per year + Benefits (Car allowance, medical plan, limited fuel card).
ACTIVITIES:
-Manage hiring and compliance processes, including interviews, background checks, drug/alcohol tests, and required screenings.
-Support and guide location safety officers; deliver and monitor safety training.
-Investigate incidents, accidents, and injuries, prepare reports, and follow up with agencies as needed.
-Complete and submit safety compliance forms, permits, and job hazard analysis; maintain accurate records.
-Plan and lead monthly safety meetings to meet company and regional safety goals.
-Prepare safety documentation such as hazard analysis, execution plans, and rigging plan verifications.
-Generate safety reports, track trends, and recommend cost-saving improvements.
-Keep the company safety manual updated and compliant with federal, state, local, and internal policies.
-Ensure company meets all client safety qualification requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
-High School Diploma.
-30 hours OSHA for construction certification.
-CPR and First Aid certifications.
-10+ years of safety or related experience in the construction in pharmaceutical industry.
-Knowledge of federal and state rules and regulations regarding safety and environmental issues.
-Computer literate (MS Office).
-Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
-Good verbal, written and relational communication skills, with ability to appropriately interact with employees of all levels.
-Demonstrate regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
