We are seeking a Safety & Compliance/EHS Coordinator for a direct hire opportunity in Long Beach, CA. This role supports environmental health and safety programs within a manufacturing, operations, warehousing, or transportation-related environment, helping ensure safe work practices, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across multiple locations.
The Safety & Compliance/EHS Coordinator will work closely with operations, management, Human Resources, and frontline employees to promote a strong safety culture. Key Responsibilities
- Support environmental health and safety initiatives, internal safety standards, OSHA compliance, and industry best practices.
- Participate in safety inspections, audits, workplace assessments, and risk identification efforts.
- Assist with safety training programs, employee education, presentations, and safety communication initiatives.
- Partner with operations, management, and Human Resources on incident investigations, corrective actions, and safety improvements.
- Maintain safety documentation, compliance records, training materials, reports, and safety performance metrics.
- Support regulatory inspections, external agency interactions, and continuous improvement efforts across company locations.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $75,000 to $88,000 per year.

- Conduct inspections, audits, assessments, and training to reduce risk and improve safety performance.
- Maintain safety records, reports, compliance documentation, and corrective action tracking.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to promote safe work practices and continuous improvement.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred in safety, compliance, operations, warehousing, transportation, manufacturing, or a related environment.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general workplace safety principles.
- Ability to conduct employee safety training, deliver presentations, and support safety awareness initiatives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and educate employees at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks and recommend practical solutions.
- Experience maintaining records, preparing reports, and supporting compliance-related activities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn company-specific systems and software.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to company locations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting safety programs across multiple sites or operational functions.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, logistics, or transportation environments.
- Familiarity with incident investigation, corrective action follow-up, safety metrics, and regulatory inspection support.
- Ability to serve as a safety resource for employees, supervisors, and leadership teams.
