Job Title: Safety Assistant (Entry-Level)

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Safety Assistant to support our safety team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This entry-level role provides both administrative and on-the-floor support, helping ensure a safe and compliant workplace. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working around production areas while assisting with safety programs, documentation, and employee communication.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with scheduling and tracking safety training and certifications
Maintain safety files, inspection reports, and incident records
Help prepare safety signage, procedures, and training materials
Support safety inspections and audits
Assist with new hire safety orientations
Help track PPE inventory and distribution
Enter safety data into spreadsheets or safety systems
Support safety managers with daily administrative tasks
Communicate safety reminders and updates to employees

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
No college degree required
Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies
Strong communication and observation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

1+ year of experience in manufacturing, construction, warehouse, or industrial environment
Basic knowledge of workplace safety or OSHA standards (training provided)
Bilingual English and Spanish skills preferred

Physical Requirements

Ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs
Ability to work in production or outdoor environments as required
