Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of accounting and audit experience.
- Experience supporting annual financial audits.
- Strong experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, AP/AR, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Sage Intacct, Bill.com, and Excel.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage deadlines.
Highly Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior accounting experience in a nonprofit charitable organization.
- Internal audit experience within a nonprofit or mission-driven environment.
- Experience improving accounting processes, documentation, and internal controls.
- Ability to work collaboratively with finance leadership, program teams, and external auditors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial reports, audit schedules, reconciliations, and general ledger documentation.
- Support annual audits, internal controls, compliance requirements, and nonprofit accounting processes.
- Manage AP, AR, journal entries, budget analysis, and program financial reporting.
- Assist the Controller with special projects, process improvements, and financial operations.
