Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and service-focused Shuttle Driver in Fort Collins, CO, to provide safe, professional campus transportation for students with temporary and permanent disabilities. This temporary opportunity is ideal for a dependable driver who enjoys helping others, values safety, and can provide respectful assistance to passengers with mobility needs.

In this role, you will operate a wheelchair-accessible shuttle van, assist students with boarding and exiting, and help ensure each passenger reaches their campus destination safely and on time. Key Responsibilities

- Safely transport students to scheduled destinations across campus.
- Operate a wheelchair-accessible shuttle van in accordance with safety procedures and route expectations.
- Assist passengers entering and exiting the vehicle, including those using mobility devices.
- Secure wheelchairs and other mobility equipment using approved safety restraints.
- Communicate professionally with riders regarding pickup and drop-off locations when needed.
- Provide courteous, dependable customer service while following assigned routes and schedules.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $21 per hour.
- Annualized compensation: $43,680 per year.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Assignment dates: September 1, 2026, through December 18, 2026.
- Location: Fort Collins, CO.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Transport students safely to and from campus destinations.
- Operate a wheelchair-accessible shuttle van.
- Assist passengers with mobility needs during boarding, exiting, and travel.
- Secure wheelchairs and mobility devices using proper safety restraints.

- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR check.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant driving, passenger transportation, customer service, or related experience.
- Ability to assist passengers with mobility needs in a safe, respectful, and professional manner.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to safety, confidentiality, and a positive passenger experience.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience driving a shuttle, van, bus, paratransit vehicle, or passenger transportation vehicle.
- Experience supporting students, individuals with disabilities, or passengers with mobility needs.
- Familiarity with wheelchair securement procedures or accessible vehicle operations.
- Prior experience working in an education, campus, healthcare, or community service environment.
