Position Overview

The Senior SBA Loan Processor is responsible for processing SBA new loan requests and loan modifications/servicing requests. This employee processes and closes loans in compliance with SBA loan program requirements, Bank and department policies and procedures, communicating directly with Clients, Third Party Vendors, Department, and SBA representatives.

Seeking a positive, motivated team-player who works both individually and as part of a high performing team to assist in achieving the Commercial Lending Department objectives to achieve the goals of on-time loan delivery to clients with high accuracy and “Six Diamond” service to both internal and external customers.

Role and Responsibilities

Process and close loans according to Bank policies and procedures along with SBA SOP
Review Credit Approval Memorandum, prepare Closing Needs Lists and fulfill loan conditions
Order and review third party reports, search and filing of UCC, open Title, and/or Escrow
Obtain and review insurance policies for accuracy, compliance, and adherence to Bank policy
Ensure quality of all loans closed within the department meets standards and clears all loans prior to closing, which includes but is not limited to, reviewing loan processing checklists and ensuring congruence across bank credit approvals, commitment letters, SBA Terms and Conditions, and all SBA specific forms
Obtain and review all SBA Lender and Applicant forms, including Terms & Conditions and exercises Bank PLP Authority by obtaining SBA Approvals via Etran
Assist in coordinating department loan funding, both at the time of origination and loan servicing
Exercise quality control measures to ensure accurate closings, loan files are complete, and high degree of bank and SBA policy compliance. This shall also include accurate and complete loan processing and clear to close checklists are submitted to file
Obtain and review to validate required equity injections on SBA loans that meets the SBA SOP
Prepare SBA Non-Delegated Loan Packages and submit to SBA for review and approval
Timely clearance of closing-related loan exceptions and report to SBA Management
Track, and report pipeline-related information for direct reports and, as required, by SBA Management
Collaborate with SBA Management to ensure secondary market loan sale activities
Maintain records of loan status and deadlines
Assist in loan documentation and review of compliance documents needed for department loans
Assist and provide guidance to junior loan processors.
Ability to resolve complex processing items with minimal oversight.
Other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or equivalent related experience
Minimum of five (5-7) years SBA processing experience
Knowledge of all necessary computer applications including, but not limited to, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
nCino experience strongly preferred
