We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled SAP Developer/Technical Programmer to join our team. This role is central to the design, development, and support of our core SAP applications, focusing on optimizing efficiency and functionality within key business areas. You will utilize advanced programming skills to translate business needs into robust, scalable SAP solutions and play a critical role in managing the full systems development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
•Development & Implementation: Plan, design, develop, test, and implement efficient IT systems, focusing on SAP applications, potentially including Warehouse Management, Yard Management, Quality Management, Plant Maintenance, and Inbound Logistics.
•Technical Leadership: Serve as a lead technical/functional expert for the development and support of SAP IT applications within your area of responsibility.
•Programming: Utilize expert programming skills in languages and technologies such as ABAP/4, SAP UI5/Fiori, SAP BI/BW, and SQL to deliver custom solutions.
•System Lifecycle Management: Manage the full systems development life cycle (SDLC) for projects/programs, adhering to methodologies such as Agile (ITPM Agile).
•Project Coordination: Coordinate activities for multiple concurrent projects, including creating systems models, specifications, diagrams, and project plans.
•Support & Training: Provide support for complex system environments, diagnose and resolve issues, and offer assistance and training to end-users.
•Analysis & Improvement: Review and analyze the effectiveness of existing systems, defining business requirements, and developing strategies for system improvement and leveraging IT investments.
Required Skills & Experience (Expert Level: 5+ Years)
•SAP Programming: 5+ years of experience programming using a variety of languages and technologies, including:
•ABAP/4
•SAP UI5/Fiori
•SAP BI/BW
•Data Warehouses
•C++, JAVA, HTML, JSP, J2EE
•SQL, Oracle, UNIX/LINUX, XSLT
•SAP Functional Experience: 5+ years of experience planning, analyzing, designing, testing, and implementing solutions in SAP areas, preferably including Warehouse Management, Yard Management, and/or Inbound Logistics.
•Project Management: 5+ years of project management experience, including knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience executing and communicating project plans.
•Functional Knowledge: 5+ years of functional knowledge in systems such as SAP R/3 related modules or production systems.
•IT Infrastructure: 5+ years of knowledge of IT infrastructure components (Operating Systems, Networks, Databases, Internet Technologies, etc.).
•Soft Skills: 5+ years of experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative, and customer service-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
•Project Management training or certification.
•Training in systems used in the area of responsibility.
•Experience in communicating complex technical ideas in both technical and user-friendly language (3+ years).
Education
•Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science, •Information Technology, Science, Business, or the equivalent of 4 years of experience in an IT application or Infrastructure profession.
