Roadside Service Support Specialist

This role is ideal for someone who excels in fast paced environments, multitasking under pressure, and delivering exceptional service to members in need. Candidates with dispatching, call taking, customer service, or basic automotive knowledge are strongly encouraged to apply.

Shift Details:

Monday - Friday, 3PM - 11PM

Responsibilities:

Receive incoming emergency road service calls and dispatch fleet or contracted providers to member locations.
Prioritize calls based on safety, weather, traffic, and urgency to ensure timely responses.
Monitor and track Fleet driver productivity, breaks, and behaviors using Fleet Tracker and Samsara.
Follow up on active calls to ensure members receive prompt and accurate service.
Communicate with affiliate clubs regarding membership status, approvals, and service coordination.
Conduct KMI (Keeping Members Informed) procedures to update members throughout the service process.
Dispatch private contractor networks efficiently when fleet resources are unavailable.
Assist in training new dispatch personnel and supporting team development.
Respond to Podium requests and assist with member complaint escalations.
Support investigations for towing damage complaints alongside the ERS Manager/Admin and Fleet Supervisor.
Assist membership staff with member packets, renewal callbacks, and general service support.
Monitor phone queues to ensure proper coverage and timely call handling.
Assist drivers with battery inventory scans and other operational needs.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Previous dispatching and/or call-taking experience preferred.
Basic automotive knowledge.
Excellent phone etiquette, communication, and customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm, empathetic, and patient during stressful situations.
Knowledge of the Capital District, nearby counties, and rural communities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong computer skills, including email, data entry, and map-navigation tools (Google Maps, etc.).
Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and overtime as needed.
