We are seeking a Remote Medical Customer Service professional for a temp-to-hire opportunity supporting patient account services in a healthcare call center environment. This role is ideal for a customer-focused healthcare professional with revenue cycle experience, EPIC or similar software knowledge, and the ability to support patients with billing, insurance, payments, and account questions.
Remote, but candidates must live in Nevada to be considered.

Key Responsibilities
- Handle 60 or more patient accounts daily, including inbound calls, callbacks, occasional outbound calls, and voicemail follow-up.
- Assist patients with billing questions, account balances, charges, payment plans, insurance updates, refunds, credit balances, and financial assistance screening.
- Review, update, and document patient account information accurately and thoroughly in the appropriate systems.
- Research coding, billing, and insurance-related errors and submit corrections when needed.
- Maintain first call resolution goals, an average 7-minute handle time, and expected production and quality standards.
- Follow all applicable policies and compliance requirements, including HIPAA, FDCPA, FCRA, and relevant state and federal collection laws.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $18.00 per hour.

- Support patient account and billing inquiries in a healthcare call center environment.
- Document patient account activity accurately and in detail using EPIC or similar revenue cycle software.
- Process account updates related to insurance, payments, refunds, transfers, corrections, and demographics.
- Maintain compliance, quality, productivity, and call handling expectations.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant customer service, healthcare call center, patient accounts, billing, or revenue cycle experience.
- Revenue cycle experience and EPIC experience, or experience with similar healthcare software, is required.
- Must live in Nevada.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to type at least 40 WPM.
- Proficiency with PC applications and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone demeanor.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, follow-up, and deadline management skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced call center environment.
- Ability to sit at a workstation for 2 hours without interruption.
- Must successfully pass a criminal history screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical terminology, coding, standard hospital operations, and healthcare financial services.
- Experience assisting patients with billing, insurance, payment plans, financial assistance screening, and account resolution.
- Prior experience meeting call center metrics such as handle time, quality scores, productivity goals, and first call resolution.
