About the Role:
Our client is seeking a highly qualified Authorization & Medical Billing Specialist to join their team remotely. This position is open only to candidates who reside in Bakersfield, CA or nearby areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managed care systems and be ready to contribute to a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
To be successful in this role, candidates must bring a solid foundation in healthcare operations and meet all of the following qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED is required
A minimum of three years of experience in a healthcare or related administrative setting, with a focus on:
Processing authorizations
Front office coordination
Medical billing and reimbursement workflows
Strong proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools
Working knowledge of EZCAP and familiarity with other healthcare management platforms
Solid understanding of insurance structures, including PPOs, HMOs, IPAs, and managed care systems
