Job Summary

We are seeking a driven and strategic Regional Business Development Manager to lead growth for surgical tables and operating room equipment across Latin America. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a bilingual medical device sales professional with experience managing distributor networks, building relationships with surgeons and Key Opinion Leaders, and expanding business across international markets.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of regional profit and loss, influence go-to-market strategy, and help expand a specialized surgical product portfolio that may include surgical tables, surgical lights, surgical booms, and related operating room equipment. The position works closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams in sales, marketing, customer service, inventory operations, and regulatory coordination.

Key Responsibilities

- Own regional business performance for surgical tables and operating room equipment across Latin America, including sales quotas, forecasts, budgets, and profit margin strategy.
- Manage, evaluate, train, and support distributor partners to improve sales performance, product knowledge, procedural knowledge, and market penetration.
- Build relationships with surgeons, Key Opinion Leaders, hospitals, surgical centers, distributors, and strategic partners throughout the territory.
- Develop and execute business development strategies, including market expansion plans, new channel development, competitive pricing analysis, and lead generation.
- Represent the company at medical device trade shows, conferences, labs, and industry events to promote surgical table solutions and identify new opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners on customer support, regulatory registration, project planning, product information, and market execution.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $100,000 to $110,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage regional sales strategy, sales forecasts, distributor performance, and P&L for the Latin America surgical table and operating room equipment business.
- Develop distributor networks, strengthen hospital and surgeon relationships, and identify new business opportunities across LATAM markets.
- Lead market research, competitive analysis, pricing recommendations, and strategic business planning for expansion into priority countries and regions.
- Coordinate cross-functional support with sales, marketing, customer service, inventory, regulatory, and executive leadership teams.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in medical device sales, business development, regional sales management, or distributor management.
- Prior experience selling surgical tables is required or strongly preferred.
- Experience with leading surgical table manufacturers such as Steris, Skytron, Maquet, or similar companies is highly valued.
- Strong understanding of hospital operating room environments, surgical equipment sales cycles, and distributor-based medical device sales.
- Bilingual Spanish and English capability is highly desired and may be essential for success in the role.
- Proven ability to manage sales quotas, forecasts, budgets, pricing strategy, and executive-level negotiations.
- Strong presentation, written communication, verbal communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to create effective sales presentations, product training materials, and distributor education resources.
- High energy, self-motivation, independence, dependability, adaptability, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to travel frequently throughout Latin America and visit hospitals, operating rooms, customer sites, and industry events.
- Ability to meet hospital immunization requirements when visiting operating room environments.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience selling medical devices in both the United States and Latin America.
- Established relationships with distributors, hospitals, surgeons, or Key Opinion Leaders in Latin American medical device markets.
- Experience launching or expanding surgical equipment product lines in Central America, South America, Mexico, or related international markets.
- Familiarity with medical device registration processes, regulatory coordination, and distributor support for international markets.
- Experience participating in Quarterly Business Review and Planning meetings, regional sales forecasting, and executive business presentations.
