About the Role:
AppleOne has partnered with a plumbing wholesale distribution company that is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Recruiting Assistant to support the Recruiting Supervisor with both administrative and recruitment-related tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication skills and a passion for talent acquisition to contribute to a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the Recruiting Supervisor and assist with all phases of the recruitment process
Coordinate and guide candidates through the full recruiting life cycle—from initial contact to interview scheduling, offer acceptance, and new hire paperwork
Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates, with a focus on selecting top-tier talent
Conduct pre-screen interviews to assess candidate qualifications and cultural fit, while educating them about the company and preparing them for interviews
Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring all parties are informed and prepared
Administer assessments and other selection tools as part of the hiring process
Conduct and evaluate reference checks and make informed recommendations regarding candidate suitability
Maintain communication with candidates regarding their application status and hiring decisions
Represent the company at job fairs and career events; build relationships with colleges, HR networks, and other recruitment partners
Stay current with employment laws, labor regulations, and company HR policies
Requirements:
3–5 years of experience in recruiting or human resources
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage priorities
Comfortable using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and common office software
Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
Knowledge of relevant state and federal labor laws is a plus
