Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Receptionist for a temporary-to-permanent opportunity in Boston, MA. This front desk role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming first impression, staying organized in a busy corporate environment, and supporting employees, guests, contractors, and visitors with excellent service.
The Receptionist will manage visitor registration, badge administration, conference room reservations, incoming calls, and daily front desk operations. This position offers a steady Monday through Friday schedule, strong visibility within a professional office setting, and the opportunity to contribute to a supportive, team-focused workplace with organized leadership and clear daily responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests, employees, contractors, and visitors in a professional, courteous, and welcoming manner.
- Manage daily guest lists, visitor registration requests, reception mailbox inquiries, and security system entries.
- Answer, screen, and route incoming calls and voicemails to appropriate personnel.
- Administer access badges, replacement badge requests, Grab-N-Go cards, transit passes, and related employee support items.
- Schedule and reserve conference rooms using the reservation system while supporting meeting room coordination.
- Maintain the reception area, monthly reports, site procedures, administrative records, and data entry tasks.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $21 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Contract type: Temporary to permanent.
- Location: Boston, MA.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage front desk operations, visitor registration, and guest support in a corporate office environment.
- Coordinate badge administration, access requests, and employee or visitor records.
- Support conference room reservations, reception communications, and administrative reporting.
- Provide professional customer service while maintaining an organized and welcoming reception area.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of receptionist, switchboard, front desk, or customer service experience.
- Strong data entry skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft 365, including Word and Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain professional, organized, and adaptable in a fast-paced office environment.
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to assist employees, contractors, visitors, and guests effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a corporate reception, facilities, client services, or office services environment.
- Experience using visitor management, security badge, seating, or conference room reservation systems.
- Ability to handle multiple requests at once while maintaining a calm, polished, and service-focused approach.
