Job Summary
We are seeking a professional Front Desk Receptionist for a contract opportunity in Santa Monica, CA with a corporate office. This role is ideal for an organized, friendly, and dependable administrative professional who enjoys being the first point of contact for visitors, clients, vendors, and internal team members.
The Front Desk Receptionist will help create a welcoming and efficient office experience while providing essential administrative support. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist visitors, clients, vendors, and employees in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls efficiently and accurately.
- Provide front desk coverage and maintain an organized reception area.
- Support general administrative tasks, including email, basic data entry, document handling, and office coordination.
- Communicate clearly with internal teams to ensure visitors and calls are directed appropriately.
- Help maintain a positive, organized, and professional office environment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay Rate: $21.00 to $22.00 per hour.
- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Location: Santa Monica, CA.
- Duration: 3 to 4 months, expected through September 2026.
- Candidates must clear a background check and drug screening prior to starting.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Provide front desk reception and administrative support in a professional office setting.
- Answer and route incoming phone calls while delivering excellent customer service.
- Greet and assist visitors, clients, and vendors as the first point of contact.
- Support basic administrative tasks, including computer-based work, email, and data entry.
- 3 or more years of experience in a receptionist, front desk, or administrative support role.
- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, email, and basic data entry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional, welcoming, and customer-service focused demeanor.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a busy front office environment.
- Reliable attendance and availability to work the assigned Monday through Friday schedule.
- Ability to successfully complete required background check and drug screening before starting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting a corporate office, manufacturing office, or consumer packaged goods environment.
- Experience managing a multi-line phone system or switchboard.
- Ability to start quickly and adapt to established office procedures.
