We are seeking a Receiving and Inventory Clerk for a temp-to-hire opportunity in San Jose, CA. This role supports a manufacturing and production environment by receiving incoming components, performing inventory counts, and entering inventory information into a computer-based system.
This is a great opportunity for someone with 1-2 years of warehouse, receiving, shipping, or inventory experience who is detail-oriented and comfortable with basic computer work. The team will provide training on the inventory system, making this a strong fit for candidates who want to build long-term skills in warehouse operations, inventory control, and manufacturing logistics.
The work environment is in-office and hands-on, with a supportive team structure, practical training, and a clear opportunity to grow into a long-term position through temp-to-hire employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming small boxes of components and verify items against documentation.
- Perform manual inventory counts and help maintain accurate stock records.
- Enter inventory information into the PCMRP system after training is provided.
- Use basic Excel functions to open files, copy and paste data, and create simple tables.
- Organize received materials and support general warehouse, shipping, and receiving activities.
- Maintain accuracy, attention to detail, and safe handling practices while lifting boxes up to approximately 20 lbs.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $25 to $27 per hour.

- Receive, verify, and organize incoming components in a manufacturing warehouse environment.
- Complete manual inventory counts and document inventory activity accurately.
- Enter inventory data into a computer-based inventory system after training.
- Support shipping, receiving, and warehouse inventory control processes.
- 1-2 years of experience in receiving, inventory, shipping, warehousing, or a similar logistics role.
- Ability to lift small boxes of components weighing approximately 20 lbs.
- Basic computer skills, including accurate data entry.
- Basic Excel skills, including opening files, copying and pasting data, and working with simple tables.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to count, verify, and record inventory accurately.
- Reliable, organized, and able to follow warehouse procedures and safety expectations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using an MRP, ERP, warehouse management, or inventory control system.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production warehouse environment.
- Comfortable learning new systems and following detailed inventory processes.
