Job Summary

We are seeking a Receiving Specialist for a contract/temporary opportunity in Duarte, CA within a biotechnology and pharmaceutical production environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented operations professional with 1 to 2 years of experience who enjoys hands-on work, accurate documentation, and supporting a clean, safety-focused production process.

As a Receiving Specialist, you will help manage the check-in, movement, labeling, storage, and documentation of donated milk products. This position offers the opportunity to work in a structured warehouse and production support setting where quality, safety, teamwork, and attention to detail are essential. The environment is highly organized, process-driven, and supported with proper personal protective equipment and clear operating procedures.

This is a great fit for someone who is dependable, comfortable standing for much of the shift, and able to perform careful product handling in a regulated manufacturing or operations environment. You will be part of a team that values accuracy, safe work practices, and reliable execution of daily receiving and storage activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform and verify check-in of milk donations according to established receiving procedures.
- Enter receiving, transfer, and product information accurately into internal computer systems.
- Organize received raw milk in designated freezer storage areas and maintain proper product flow.
- Transfer frozen and sampled raw milk between the sampling cleanroom and freezer storage areas in a timely manner.
- Transfer raw milk into containers, apply labels, bag product, and prepare items for freezer storage.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area using required PPE and approved disinfectant products for hard surface cleaning.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay Rate: $22.21 per hour.
- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
- Location: Duarte, CA.
- PPE provided may include safety shoes and over boots or captive boots, safety glasses, goggles, face shields, gloves, poly sleeves, aprons, freezer jacket, and overalls.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Perform receiving and check-in of donated milk products.
- Complete accurate data entry in production or inventory-related computer systems.
- Move, label, bag, and organize raw milk products for freezer storage.
- Support cleanroom-to-freezer product transfer activities while following safety and handling procedures.

- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in receiving, warehouse, production, manufacturing, operations, inventory, or related work.
- Ability to stand for the majority of the shift, with a stool available as needed.
- Ability to lift and handle an average of 20 to 30 lbs, with occasional handling of multiple small bags in trays or boxes.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse area and walking product into a freezer area, with minimal time spent inside the freezer.
- Ability to follow PPE requirements and safe work practices in a production or regulated environment.
- Strong attention to detail for labeling, documentation, check-in verification, and data entry.
- Ability to work with approved cleaning and disinfecting products used for work area surface disinfection.
- Dependable, organized, and able to complete repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, food production, cold storage, laboratory support, or regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience handling temperature-sensitive products or materials.
- Familiarity with cleanroom-adjacent procedures, GMP-style documentation, or inventory tracking systems.
- Comfort working in a process-driven environment with strict quality, safety, and cleanliness standards.
