In this role, you will be responsible for providing precise Abstracts of Title by examining land records at the Erie County Clerk’s office. This role requires collaboration with team members and customers to ensure the accuracy and integrity of property records.
Responsibilities:
Provide accurate Abstracts of Title through examination of land records.
Plot and follow legal descriptions, and read old, cursive text.
Compare and match legal descriptions related to specific properties.
Check individual names of property owners using the ECCO website.
Set up all relevant documents, including deeds, mortgages, easements, and more.
Qualifications:
Experience with computer database and index systems is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret legal descriptions and old, cursive text.
Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in real estate or title searching is preferred.
