A well-established law firm in Summerville, SC is seeking an experienced Closing Paralegal to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring 3–5 years of real estate closing experience and demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and client service skills. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage the full scope of closing files and ensure accuracy and compliance throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare purchase files for closing, including communication with agents, lenders, and clients
-Provide lenders with accurate fee information for Closing Disclosures
-Draft and prepare closing documents for attorney review
-Obtain loan packages and closing instructions from lenders
-Verify lender’s final Closing Disclosure fees and ensure disbursement figures are balanced
-For non-TRID closings, prepare HUD-1 settlement statements
-Secure closing approvals and funding authorizations from lenders
-Process disbursements, including cutting checks and initiating wires
-Collaborate effectively with attorneys, staff, and external partners
-Deliver professional, polite, and responsive client service
-Work as part of a team while adapting to changes in a productive manner
-Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a closing paralegal
-Strong knowledge of closing procedures, disclosures, HUD-1 preparation, and lender communications
-Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
-Proficient in closing software and Microsoft Office Suite
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Compensation & Benefits:
-$55,000–$65,000 starting salary (based on experience)
