Our client is a a privately owned real estate investment and property management firm focused on commercial shopping centers. They manage a growing portfolio and work closely with investors, brokers, and lenders. They are seeking a skilled Accounting Manager to oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and property-level accounting.
What You’ll Do
Lead monthly and quarterly financial reporting for assigned properties
Manage general ledger activity and reconciliations
Oversee accounts payable for selected assets
Review leases, loan documents, and financial agreements
Prepare and maintain property budgets and forecasts
Assist with loan draws, refinancing, and acquisitions
Complete year-end audit support and tax prep documentation
Collaborate with property managers and senior leadership
Analyze operating expenses, CAM reconciliations, and variances
Build financial schedules, models, and reports for stakeholders
What they are looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of property or real estate accounting experience
Familiarity with lease structures, real estate documents, and audits
Strong Excel and QuickBooks skills; Yardi experience a plus
Comfortable managing multiple properties and priorities
Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication
Supervisory or team lead experience preferred
CPA is a plus, but not required
