Radioassay Technician

General Job Duties:
•Routine radioactivity measurements including source measurements.
•Daily check and maintenance of instrumentation.
•Radioassay and Quality Management System Program.
•Final Quality Control – back-up support.
•Customer source complaints and returns for calibration – back-up support.
•Laboratory record keeping, paperwork handling, and filing.
•Performs other duties as required by management.
•Travel required at various times to Burbank or Valencia facilities for Radioassay support and training.

Requirements:
1.Minimum education (or substitute experience) required: AA degree in a technical field. Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.
2.Minimum experience required: 1-2 years of experience in an Operations, Production, or Laboratory setting.
3.Experience in the following areas:
•Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
•Must be able to travel and work in Valencia and Burbank.
•Must be available to work overtime as required.
•Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
•Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
•Excellent planning, organization, and flexibility to adjust to a rapidly changing environment.
•Motivated self-starter.
•Proficient in Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word.
•Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
•Experience with instrument software and computer programming a plus.
•Experience in Final QC a plus
