Quality Assurance Manager (Personal care, cosmetics, or OTC manufacturing) Key Responsibilities • Lead, coach, and develop the Quality Assurance team • Oversee incoming material inspection, sampling, approval, quarantine, and disposition • Provide daily QA oversight of production activities and GMP compliance • Review and approve batch and production records for finished product release • Lead investigations involving deviations, non-conformances, complaints, and root-cause analysis • Manage CAPA, change control, SOPs, specifications, and document control • Monitor and report quality metrics, trends, deviations, complaints, and CAPA status • Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits and inspections • Oversee supplier quality and nonconforming materials • Ensure calibration, validation, environmental monitoring, and sanitation programs remain compliant • Partner with Production, QC, Regulatory, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams • Identify opportunities to reduce defects, scrap, and rework while improving quality and efficiency • Promote a strong culture of quality, compliance, safety, and continuous improvement

-Position Summary
-We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead and oversee quality activities at a GMP-regulated manufacturing facility in Gardena. This role will ensure personal care products are manufactured, tested, and released in compliance with GMP regulations, company procedures, and customer requirements. The QA Manager will lead the Quality Assurance team, provide hands-on quality oversight of production, manage quality systems, lead investigations and CAPA, support audits, and drive continuous improvement across the facility.
-Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Engineering, or a related scientific/technical field
• 3+ years of Quality Assurance experience in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment
• Experience in personal care, cosmetics, OTC, pharmaceutical, food, or another highly regulated industry preferred
• Working knowledge of GMP regulations and quality systems
• Experience with deviations, CAPA, change control, document control, and batch record review
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
• Knowledge of incoming inspection, sampling, and material disposition
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• ERP/MRP and electronic quality systems experience is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
