Job Summary

A growing global leader in environmental catalyst, precious metals, and advanced materials solutions is seeking a Quality Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Fremont, CA. This role is ideal for a quality professional with strong leadership experience, hands-on quality management systems knowledge, and a background in mechanical or electrical engineering within a technical manufacturing environment.

The Quality Manager will lead quality assurance activities for temperature sensing products, support ISO compliance, guide quality control team performance, and partner closely with engineering, production, sales, and customer-facing teams. Key Responsibilities

- Lead quality assurance department activities, including quality systems, reliability testing, inspection processes, and product compliance.
- Deploy, maintain, and improve the Quality Management System, including manufacturing instructions, procedures, training programs, and process improvement initiatives.
- Manage and support the quality control team to ensure products meet internal standards, customer requirements, and technical specifications.
- Conduct and support internal and external audits for ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 accreditation compliance.
- Partner with production and engineering teams on mechanical and electrical product design, process validation, test methods, and final product specifications.
- Support customer and sales teams with failure analysis, material characterization, 8D reporting, corrective actions, and technical quality documentation.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Lead quality assurance and quality control activities for technical manufacturing and temperature sensing products.
- Manage ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 quality systems, audits, procedures, and compliance programs.
- Drive root cause analysis, failure analysis, 8D reporting, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, sales, and customer teams to ensure product quality and technical compliance.

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
- 3 or more years of quality experience required, including people management experience.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 accreditation audit programs.
- Strong knowledge of failure analysis, root cause analysis, material characterization, quality reporting, corrective actions, lean practices, and Six Sigma concepts.
- Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical fundamentals, product and process design, validation procedures, test methods, and test equipment.
- Experience with 2D or 3D mechanical design tools such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Ability to develop mechanical components for thermocouples or similar technical products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced technical environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplined team environment with limited supervision.
- Commitment to promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture.

Preferred Qualifications

- 5 or more years of quality experience preferred.
- Familiarity with noble metals.
- Experience with laser welding of noble metal thermocouples.
- Experience in chemicals, petrochemicals, catalysts, precious metals, sensors, temperature sensing, or related advanced manufacturing environments.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certification is a plus.
