Job Summary
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Fremont, CA within the automotive and parts manufacturing industry. This leadership role is ideal for a quality professional with strong experience in ISO quality systems, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and team management.
The Quality Assurance Manager will lead quality assurance and quality control activities for temperature sensing products, supporting product reliability, manufacturing excellence, and customer satisfaction. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative technical environment with cross-functional engineering, production, sales, and leadership teams. Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily quality assurance department activities, including quality systems, reliability testing, procedures, work instructions, and training programs.
- Lead and supervise quality control team activities to ensure products meet internal standards, customer requirements, and technical specifications.
- Maintain and support the Quality Management System, including ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 compliance, internal audits, external audits, and accreditation readiness.
- Drive failure analysis, root cause analysis, 8D reporting, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives using lean and Six Sigma principles.
- Partner with engineering and production teams on mechanical and electrical design, product validation, process definition, and final product conformance.
- Support sales and customer-facing technical needs by providing quality documentation, material characterization, failure analysis, and technical product information.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Lead quality assurance and quality control operations for manufacturing and engineering teams.
- Manage ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 quality system compliance, audits, documentation, and accreditation activities.
- Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, 8D reports, lean initiatives, and Six Sigma-based continuous improvement.
- Support product and process design validation for mechanical and electrical components.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
- 3+ years of quality experience required, including people management experience.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 audit programs.
- Strong background in failure analysis, root cause analysis, material characterization, corrective action implementation, and quality reporting.
- Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical fundamentals, product design, process design, validation procedures, test methods, and test equipment.
- Experience with 2D and 3D mechanical design tools such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Ability to develop mechanical components for thermocouples or similar technical products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplined team environment.
- Ability to travel up to 15%.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing, automotive, or technical product environment.
- Familiarity with noble metals.
- Experience with laser welding of noble metal thermocouples.
- Experience with thermocouples, temperature sensing products, or similar precision-engineered components.
