We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Fremont, CA. The Quality Manager will lead a quality assurance team responsible for product reliability, compliance, audits, failure analysis, corrective actions, and quality system performance. Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily activities of the quality assurance department, including quality control team supervision, quality testing, compliance, documentation, and product reliability initiatives.
- Deploy, maintain, and improve the Quality Management System, including manufacturing instructions, procedures, training programs, productivity initiatives, and process alignment.
- Lead internal and external audits to support quality accreditation and compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and related quality requirements.
- Partner with production and engineering teams on mechanical and electrical design, product validation, test methods, process procedures, and final product specifications.
- Support customer-facing quality activities, including material characterization, failure analysis, 8D reporting, corrective actions, and technical quality documentation.
- Promote a strong safety culture while managing business-critical timelines for development projects, manufacturing issues, customer requirements, and continuous improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Lead quality assurance department operations, including quality control supervision, testing, compliance, reporting, and reliability improvement.
- Manage ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 quality system activities, audits, procedures, documentation, and accreditation support.
- Drive root cause analysis, failure analysis, 8D reporting, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and sales teams on product design, process validation, customer requirements, and quality performance.

- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
- 3+ years of quality experience required, including people management experience. 5+ years preferred.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 accreditation audit programs.
- Experience with failure analysis, root cause analysis, material characterization, 8D reports, permanent corrective actions, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement.
- Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical fundamentals, product and process design, validation procedures, test methods, and test equipment.
- Experience with 2D or 3D mechanical design tools such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Ability to develop mechanical components for thermocouples or similar related products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplined team environment with limited supervision.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to travel up to 15%.

Preferred Qualifications

- 5+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing or automotive parts manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with noble metals.
- Experience with laser welding of noble metal thermocouples.
- Experience supporting temperature sensing, thermocouple, sensor, or related engineered product manufacturing.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement training or certification.
