Immediate need for Quality Lead (Manufacturing / Quality Control / Continuous Improvement)


About the Opportunity

A growing manufacturing company is seeking a hands-on Quality Lead to support and maintain high-quality standards across production operations. This role partners closely with Production, Engineering, and Operations to ensure products meet specifications and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Inspection Oversight
Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards
Develop and maintain inspection procedures and quality documentation
Ensure accurate recording and communication of inspection results
Monitor production quality trends and identify recurring issues
Production Quality Support
Partner with production teams to ensure adherence to work instructions and quality standards
Provide guidance to operators and team leads on inspection requirements
Support first article inspections (FAI) and process validations
Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Action
Investigate product quality issues and customer complaints
Support root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
Track and verify effectiveness of quality improvements
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to reduce defects and improve product quality
Support continuous improvement and process control initiatives
Assist in developing SOPs and quality best practices
Quality Reporting & Documentation
Maintain inspection reports, quality records, and tracking systems
Monitor KPIs and provide reporting to leadership
Support internal audits and quality compliance efforts
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with Production, Engineering, Customer Service, and Logistics
Support new product introductions (NPI) and sampling from a quality perspective

Qualifications
Education
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (preferred)

Experience
3–5 years of experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance in manufacturing
Experience with inspection processes, quality documentation, and root cause analysis
Background in printing, packaging, plastics, or consumer products is a plus

Skills
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
Knowledge of quality control methods, inspection tools, and processes
Ability to identify issues and drive corrective actions
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Additional Qualifications
Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ERP systems preferred
Bilingual (Spanish or Chinese) is a plus
Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
