Position Summary
The Quality Lead is responsible for supporting and maintaining quality standards across production operations. This role works closely with production, engineering, and operations teams to ensure products meet required specifications and customer expectations.

The Quality Lead will oversee inspection activities, support quality control processes, and help drive continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment. This position is designed as a hands-on leadership role with the opportunity to grow into a Quality Manager as the facility expands.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Inspection Oversight
• Oversee incoming, in-process, and final product inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Develop and maintain inspection procedures and quality documentation.
• Ensure inspection results are properly recorded and communicated to relevant teams.
• Monitor production quality performance and identify trends or recurring issues.
Production Quality Support
• Work closely with production teams to ensure work instructions and quality standards are followed.
• Provide guidance to operators and team leaders regarding quality expectations and inspection requirements.
• Assist with first article inspections and process validations when needed.
Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions
• Investigate quality issues and customer complaints in coordination with production and engineering teams.
• Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Track quality improvement initiatives and verify effectiveness of corrective measures.

Process Improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve product quality and reduce defects.
• Support implementation of quality improvement and process control initiatives.
• Assist with development of standard operating procedures and quality best practices.

Quality Reporting & Documentation
• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and internal tracking systems.
• Monitor quality metrics and provide regular reports to operations leadership.
• Support internal audits and quality system compliance.
Cross-Functional Coordination
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Customer Service, and Logistics teams to address quality issues and support production goals.
• Support new product introductions and sampling processes from a quality perspective.

Background expectation
Education
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.

Experience
• 3–5 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with inspection processes, quality documentation, and root cause analysis preferred.
• Experience in printing, packaging, plastics, or consumer product manufacturing is a plus.

Skills
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of quality control methods and inspection processes.
• Ability to identify quality issues and support corrective actions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Qualifications
• Familiarity with quality management systems and ERP reporting tools preferred.
• English required; Spanish or Chinese language skills are a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
