Job Summary

A growing food manufacturing company in Riverside, CA is seeking a Quality Control Technician to support food safety, product quality, HACCP compliance, and regulatory standards in a fast-paced production environment. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented quality professional with 1-2 years of experience who enjoys hands-on inspection, testing, documentation, and cross-functional teamwork.

The Quality Control Technician plays an important role in ensuring raw materials, in-process production, finished products, equipment, labeling, and documentation meet internal specifications and food safety requirements. This role offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative production and quality team where accuracy, communication, continuous improvement, and safe work practices are valued.

Key Responsibilities:


· Perform quality inspections of products before public release. The focus is on ensuring products are following food safety regulations and internal standards.


· Will operate under good manufacturing practices (GMP) and be familiar with the HACCP system.


· Observe and report all food product deficiencies.


· Participate in conducting plant audits and third-party audits.


· Perform manual and automated quality testing, analyzing, and recording related results.


· Inspect production equipment and machinery to ensure they are operating efficiently.


· Collaborate with other production departments to ensure the production process runs smoothly.


· Inspect raw materials so ensure they meet the specifications for the shape, size, and quality.


· Enforce BRC, HACCP, SOPs and product specifications.


· Test finished products and raw materials for compliance with industry food specifications and standards.


· Manage point step process review, label and materials review, and QA approval of documentation control, line clearing, and process deviations.


· Work within a team structure to achieve PCB and Department goals.


· Be accurate when collecting product data samples.


· Conduct data analysis and reporting.


· Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $40,000 to $46,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Location: Riverside, CA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

· 1-2 years of relevant quality control, quality assurance, food safety, inspection, or manufacturing experience.
· Proficiency with all MS Office Suite programs Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills


· Experience enforcing SOP and product specifications.


· Ability to adapt effectively within a continually changing and demanding environment.


· Must be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to communicate effectively to maintain high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency.


· Demonstrate ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and duties as they relate to food safety and regulatory compliance.


· Exceptional leadership characteristics, communication skills, and ability to interact with management and employees.


· Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish


· Ability to use Microsoft word, excel and databases to interact with customers, suppliers, auditors, and technical support groups.


· Demonstrate the Qualified Individuals responsibilities for Preventative Controls


· Strong mathematics and analytical skills


· Excellent attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience in food manufacturing, food safety inspection, or a regulated production environment.
- Familiarity with third-party audits, BRC standards, documentation control, label review, and materials review.
- Experience working in a bilingual production or manufacturing environment.

Working Conditions:

· Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.

· Follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.

· Must be able to lift, up to 50 lbs., stand on feet for prolonged periods of time and climb stairs as needed.

· Equipment noise is elevated requiring the use of hearing protection.

· Seasonal temperatures can be expected.

· Must wear and use all protective and safety equipment as directed by the Company.
