Job Summary

We are seeking a Quality Control Lab Technician for a direct hire opportunity in Livermore, CA within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented laboratory professional with 3 to 5 years of experience in quality control, materials testing, physical research, or a regulated lab environment.

The Quality Control Lab Technician will support product quality, laboratory testing, documentation accuracy, and compliance with established procedures. HOT BUTTONS:

- Incoming Packaging Component inspections;
- Sampling/Testing as per the specifications

- Incoming Raw Material Inspections
Sampling /testing /release as per the specifications

- Handling and testing of incoming Raw materials( pH , Specific Gravity, Refractive Index , Physical tests )

- Sending samples out for analytical testing as needed Maintenance of PK and RM -Master Samples/Library

- Release of Packaging components and Raw Materials in ERP

- Attention to detail , thorough in reviewing and documentation process
- Other job functions as needed. 

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine quality control testing on materials, samples, or finished products according to established procedures.
- Prepare, handle, and document laboratory samples while maintaining accuracy and traceability.
- Operate, clean, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with internal standards.
- Record test results, review data for accuracy, and escalate out-of-specification or unusual findings.
- Follow laboratory safety, quality, and compliance procedures to support reliable and consistent results.
- Collaborate with quality, research, production, and technical teams to support testing priorities and workflow.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $25.00 per hour.
- Location: Livermore, CA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Perform quality control laboratory testing in a biotech, pharmaceutical, materials, or physical research environment.
- Maintain accurate laboratory documentation, sample records, and test results.
- Support equipment operation, calibration, cleaning, and routine lab readiness.
- Identify quality concerns and communicate findings to appropriate team members.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant laboratory, quality control, materials testing, or scientific research experience.
- Experience following standard operating procedures, test methods, and laboratory safety requirements.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, consistent, and well-documented results.
- Ability to work with laboratory instruments, samples, reagents, and testing materials safely and effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple testing priorities.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a quality-focused lab environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in a biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, or regulated laboratory environment.
- Familiarity with quality systems, GMP, GLP, ISO, or similar documentation and compliance standards.
- Experience with materials testing, physical testing, analytical methods, or sample preparation.
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, biotechnology, materials science, or a related scientific field.
