Job Summary

A growing medical device and supplies organization in Camarillo, CA is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented quality professional who enjoys hands-on inspection work, regulated manufacturing environments, and contributing to products where quality and compliance truly matter.

The Quality Control Inspector will inspect incoming materials, first articles, in-process production, and final products to ensure compliance with company standards, GMP requirements, SOPs, and applicable regulatory expectations. This position offers the opportunity to work with a supportive quality team, collaborative cross-functional departments, and leadership focused on continuous improvement, documentation accuracy, and product integrity.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform quality control inspections and testing for incoming product, first article, in-process production, and final product release.
- Initiate and document nonconformance report for materials or products that do not meet quality standards.
- Review, complete, and release job order documents while ensuring inspections and procedures are properly documented.
- Support investigations related to nonconformance findings and recommend process improvements.
- Perform pre-inspection and post-inspection activities related to gamma irradiation processes.
- Maintain compliance with safety requirements, PPE standards, ISO environment protocols, GMP procedures, and quality system expectations.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay range: $24.00 to $25.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Conduct hands-on quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
- Document inspection results, nonconformances, observations, and quality recommendations.
- Support quality investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Review and release job order documentation in accordance with quality procedures.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ years of quality inspection experience in a pharmaceutical, medical device, or regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience following GMP operations, SOPs, and good documentation practices.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485, 21 CFR Parts 210 and 211, and/or 21 CFR Part 820.
- General knowledge and use of measuring devices such as calipers, tape measures, rulers, and pin gauges.
- Ability to identify nonconforming material and initiate accurate NCR documentation.
- Strong organizational, planning, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Good general mathematical skills and computer skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with cross-functional departments, vendors, and customers.
- Commitment to quality, integrity, sound judgment, accuracy, and compliance.
- Ability to wear required PPE in an ISO environment, including scrubs, coverall suit, mask, protective eyewear, gloves, shoe covers, and similar equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience using an ERP system, preferably Syteline.
- Prior experience with gamma irradiation inspection processes.
- Experience working in an ISO-controlled or cleanroom manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with corrective action processes and quality metrics reporting.
