Job Summary
A manufacturing organization in Camarillo, CA is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented quality professional who enjoys hands-on inspection work, documentation accuracy, and supporting compliance in a regulated manufacturing environment.
The Quality Control Inspector will inspect materials, components, and finished products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with company quality standards, ISO requirements, GMP practices, and applicable regulatory expectations. Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, first article, in-process, and final inspections on materials, parts, and finished products.
- Initiate and document nonconformance reports for non-conforming materials or process findings.
- Review, complete, and release inspection records, job order documents, and quality documentation in accordance with SOPs and good documentation practices.
- Support investigations related to nonconformance findings and communicate inspection results to appropriate departments.
- Perform pre-inspection and post-inspection of products related to the gamma irradiation process.
- Maintain compliance with safety requirements and wear required PPE when working in an ISO-controlled environment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $24.00 to $25.00 per hour.
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Location: Camarillo, CA.
- Open schedules include 5:00am start, 5:30am start, 6:00am start, and 3:00pm start.
- The 3:00pm shift pays $25.00 per hour, including $24.00 base pay plus a $1.00 shift differential.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Conduct quality inspections across incoming, first article, in-process, and final production stages.
- Document inspection results, NCRs, observations, corrective actions, and quality metrics.
- Review and release job order documentation while following SOPs and GMP documentation standards.
- Support cross-functional investigations and continuous improvement activities related to quality findings.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Quality control inspection experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, medical device, or regulated production environment.
- Experience with technical documentation, quality inspections, corrective actions, and good documentation practices.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485, GMP requirements, and applicable 21 CFR regulations such as Parts 210, 211, and/or 820.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, rulers, and pin gauges.
- Strong computer skills and ability to work with quality records, ERP systems, and inspection documentation.
- Good general mathematical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across departments.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to accuracy, compliance, and product quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while following detailed procedures.
- Willingness to wear required PPE in an ISO environment, including scrubs, coverall suit, mask, protective eyewear, gloves, shoe covers, and similar protective equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Syteline.
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or ISO-controlled manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with nonconformance reporting, quality metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience supporting inspections related to sterilization or gamma irradiation processes.
