Job Description

Position Summary:
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting, testing, and evaluating products, materials, and processes to ensure they meet quality standards and company specifications. This role helps maintain consistent production quality by identifying defects, documenting results, and communicating issues to supervisors and production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet established quality standards and specifications.

Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other equipment.

Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed quality records.

Identify, report, and tag non-conforming products; assist in root-cause analysis and corrective action efforts.

Follow established quality procedures, safety guidelines, and work instructions.

Work closely with production, engineering, and management teams to resolve quality issues.

Perform sampling inspections and testing according to company policies and industry standards.

Assist with calibration and maintenance of inspection tools and equipment.

Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure compliance with company, industry, and regulatory quality standards.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in quality control or manufacturing is a plus.

1–3 years of experience in quality control, inspection, or manufacturing environment.


Knowledge of measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, gauges, etc.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 25–50 lbs depending on the work environment.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with ISO standards or other quality management systems.

Background in manufacturing, medical, aerospace, or similar industries

Work Environment:

Production or manufacturing setting.

Exposure to machinery, tools, and materials; proper PPE required.

Fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail and adherence to safety practices.
