Job Summary

A growing organization in Charlotte, NC is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to support product quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction across office and distribution center operations. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a hands-on quality professional with 1 to 2 years of experience who enjoys inspection work, documentation, problem-solving, and working closely with cross-functional teams.

The Quality Assurance Specialist will serve as a key point of contact for identifying defects, verifying product accuracy, and ensuring raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods meet established standards. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, quality-focused environment with supportive leadership, strong team interaction, and exposure to Procurement, Operations, and Distribution functions. It is a strong fit for someone who takes ownership, values accuracy, and wants to build a long-term career in Quality Assurance and Quality Control.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods for quality, accuracy, packaging, labeling, lot codes, and overall compliance.
- Perform visual, dimensional, functional, and spot-check inspections to verify products meet company specifications and quality standards.
- Document inspection results, maintain quality records, update logs, and enter data into Quality Management Systems and internal tracking systems.
- Identify defects, non-conforming products, inconsistencies, and compliance concerns, then escalate issues through the appropriate channels.
- Assist with deviation reports, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct quality audits at the distribution center, including reviews of inventory condition, storage practices, product handling, and shipment readiness.

Compensation and Benefits

- Direct hire opportunity.
- Salary range: $50,000 to $60,000 per year.
- Location: Charlotte, NC.
- Work environment includes time in both a corporate office and distribution center setting.
- Distribution center quality audits are expected 2 to 3 days per week.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Conduct quality inspections and testing for raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
- Maintain accurate QA/QC documentation, inspection logs, and quality records.
- Support defect management, deviation reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes.
- Partner with Procurement, Operations, and Distribution teams to resolve product quality concerns.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, manufacturing, distribution, food and beverage, consumer products, pharmaceutical, wellness, or a related environment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle variations in product appearance, labeling, packaging, and functionality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills, documentation accuracy, analytical problem-solving ability, and accountability.
- Comfortable working in both office and warehouse or distribution center environments.

Preferred Qualifications

- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Experience working with Quality Management Systems.
- Knowledge of GMP, Good Manufacturing Practices, and general quality standards.
- ASQ Certified Quality Technician certification or similar quality certification.
- Experience in regulated consumer products, supplements, wellness, food, beverage, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
