Quality Assurance Manager
Location: North of Bakersfield CA
Job Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $95,000 – $175,000 (Competitive pay based on experience)

Role Overview:
This position oversees all aspects of quality management, ensuring regulatory compliance and driving continuous improvement. Responsibilities include ISO updates, manufacturing validation, SOP verification, and participation in new product development while supporting R&D initiatives. The ideal candidate will implement and enforce quality standards, lead a team of technicians, and collaborate cross-functionally to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Bio Assay laboratories.
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, FDA regulations, and industry standards.
- Maintain product quality and regulatory compliance.
- Lead and develop the quality team while promoting a culture of excellence.
- Collaborate with departments to implement quality requirements.
- Analyze data, identify areas for improvement, and recommend action plans.
- Establish Hold for Inspection (HFI) procedures to prevent nonconforming materials from entering production.
- Engage in cross-functional projects to drive quality initiatives.
- Serve as the primary corporate and customer liaison.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science required (Entomology, Plant Pathology, or Microbiology preferred).
- 5–15 years of Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience.
- ISO quality system experience preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience managing technicians.
- Hands-on experience with biological systems, mice serological testing, and insect assays preferred.
- Strong knowledge of chemical composition, structure, properties, and processes—including interactions, hazards, production techniques, and disposal methods.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, SPC, and troubleshooting methods.
