A manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to support quality inspection, compliance, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. The company’s products are used by aerospace companies, so this role requires someone with strong quality experience in a manufacturing environment that supports aerospace customers, aerospace vendors, or aerospace-related compliance standards.

This position will work closely with the Quality Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure products, processes, and documentation meet internal quality standards, customer specifications, and ISO 9001 / AS9100D quality management system requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on inspection experience, excellent documentation skills, and experience working with aerospace customer requirements, ISO compliance, and quality system documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Perform quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet customer, company, and quality system requirements.

Inspect materials, components, and finished products using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.

Review engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and inspection requirements to verify product compliance.

Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100D, customer specifications, and internal quality standards.

Maintain accurate inspection records, quality documentation, and compliance-related reports.

Identify, document, and track nonconforming materials or products, ensuring proper follow-up and timely resolution.

Support nonconformance reports, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and preventive actions.

Assist with maintaining and improving quality procedures, work instructions, inspection processes, and documentation controls.

Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality leadership to resolve quality-related issues.

Monitor quality trends and recommend process improvements to improve efficiency, consistency, and product quality.

Support internal and external quality audits as needed.

Additional Skills

Qualifications 2–4 years of Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience supporting aerospace customers, aerospace suppliers, or aerospace-related manufacturing requirements is required. Experience working within ISO 9001 and AS9100D quality environments is required. Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and quality documentation requirements. Experience with nonconformance reports, corrective actions, root cause analysis, and CAPA processes. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements. Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. NetSuite experience is a plus. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ideal Candidate Profile Manufacturing quality background with products, components, or materials supplied to aerospace customers. Comfortable working closely with a Quality Manager in a hands-on quality environment. Strong compliance and documentation experience, especially with ISO standards. Experience working for an aerospace supplier, vendor, or manufacturer serving aerospace customers will be strongly considered. Detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to maintaining high quality standards.
