Job Title: Entry-Level Quality / Manufacturing Professional (Metrology Lab)

Overview
We are seeking a motivated Quality or Manufacturing professional with at least two years of industry experience who is eager to grow into a leadership role within a specialized metrology laboratory in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the owner of the lab, learning the technical, operational, and business aspects of a precision measurement and calibration operation.
This position is designed as a long-term succession and development opportunity. The individual hired will act as an understudy to the owner, gaining hands-on exposure to quality systems, measurement science, client relationships, and lab operations. As your knowledge and responsibilities grow, your compensation and role will grow as well.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist with daily operations of a precision metrology and calibration laboratory
• Support measurement, inspection, and calibration activities for customer components and equipment
• Learn and apply quality standards, documentation, and lab procedures
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and calibration documentation
• Assist with equipment setup, maintenance, and verification
• Support internal quality processes and continuous improvement initiatives
• Work directly with the owner to understand operational workflows, customer service, and business management
• Gradually take on increased responsibility in lab operations and client support as skills develop
Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, inspection, or metrology
• Basic understanding of measurement tools and inspection methods (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Desire to learn the business side of a technical operation and grow into greater responsibility
• Ability to work onsite in the DFW area
Preferred (Not Required)
• Exposure to quality systems such as ISO 9001 or ISO/IEC 17025
• Experience in a machine shop, manufacturing facility, or calibration lab
• Familiarity with GD&T or inspection reports
