We are seeking a detail-oriented QA/QC Specialist to join a growing aerospace manufacturing team. This role is responsible for ensuring products and processes meet strict aerospace quality standards through inspections, documentation review, process auditing, and collaboration with production teams.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within a regulated manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control practices in the aerospace industry.
Key Responsibilities
Perform in-process and final inspections of aerospace components and assemblies
Review blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions to ensure compliance
Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM equipment when applicable
Verify materials, certifications, and production documentation for accuracy and compliance
Identify non-conforming products and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions
Support internal audits and quality improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO standards, customer specifications, and company procedures
Maintain detailed inspection records and quality documentation
Collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues
Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on product quality and operational efficiency
Qualifications
3+ years of QA/QC experience within aerospace or precision manufacturing
Strong understanding of quality inspection processes and documentation requirements
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T
Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment
Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO quality standards
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with First Article Inspections (FAI) and FAIR documentation
Knowledge of CMM operation and reporting
Experience with non-conformance reporting (NCR) and corrective action processes
Quality certifications such as ASQ CQI, CQT, or similar are a plus
Experience working with aerospace materials and tight-tolerance machining
