This QA Manager Position Features:
Bilingual Spanish a huge plus!
Position: Quality Assurance Manager/SQF Practitioner/PCQI-HACCP
2. Purpose: To outline job functions related to requirements of Food Safety System.
3. Qualifications:
- SQF Practitioner certified
- Capable of developing a Food Safety Plan
- PCQI/HACCP training
- Understanding of Quality Systems
- Adequate understanding and knowledge of the current SQF system edition
- Adequate understanding and knowledge of the current food manufacturing regulations
- Experience in the food industry a plus
4. Responsibilities:
Develop, lead, validate, verify and maintain the company’s food safety plans and programs.
Ensure that SQF documentation and implementation comply with the SQF Standard and FSMA regulation.
Ensure personnel have the required training to follow the SQF System and FSMA.
Perform Internal Audits to ensure that the SQF System and FSMA are properly implemented.
Validate Sanitation program and effectiveness.
Prepare and Lead Management Reviews.
Test Crisis Management plans along with Operation Management.
Ensure verification and validation of Food Safety Plans and Programs.
Assign SQF responsibilities to all personnel involved in food safety.
Other job functions as assigned per upper Management.
Ensure complaints are handled in a timely manner with client.
As QA Manager, approve and sign the Food Safety Plan upon initial completion and any modification.
As an SQF Practitioner, must report defined blackout periods that prevent unannounced re-certification audits from occurring out of season or when the site is not operating for legitimate business reasons.

B. Continuous Improvement
Provide feedback to Plant Director on continuous improvement opportunities.
