Job Title: Purchasing Specialist
• Location: Fremont CA. 94538
• Great Pay up to $30/hr.

Immediate need for a Purchasing Specialist (Capital Equipment)

Key Responsibilities:

-Create and issue purchase orders based on requisitions and other internal inputs.

-Revise and update purchase orders as needed to reflect changes in scope, pricing, or delivery schedules.

-Expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and prevent production delays.

-Manage and resolve issues related to discrepant or nonconforming materials.

-Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to improve delivery performance, achieve quality standards, and reduce overall material costs.

-Identify and qualify new suppliers for purchased materials.

-Collaborate with management, production, and engineering teams to address schedule changes, material shortages, backlogs, and other potential supply chain interruptions.

-Work closely with Engineering and Production regarding bills of materials (BOMs), fabrication drawings, and related technical documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

-Proven purchasing experience, preferably with an emphasis on capital equipment.

-Vendor management experience with a track record of improving supplier performance.

-Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

-Ability to read and interpret mechanical CAD drawings and blueprints.

-Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment.

-Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

-Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

-Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed.

Preferred Skills:

-Experience procuring fabricated materials.

-Experience with Syspro (ERP) systems.
